Calling all Artists and Musicians

Tilluminati features an Artist on our website, for an unspecified period of time (usually a couple weeks), and we’d love to hear from anyone interested in submitting their art. Tilluminati defines an Artist as a graphic designer, photographer, musician, band, painter, or anyone interested in sharing their love of art with us.

We value all forms of art, including music, and we believe all art is an expression of the soul. Dictionary.com defines music as an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. We have partnered with Slacker, the world's first personal radio company. Slacker allows music lovers to play personalized music online or on-the-go with Slacker Personal Radio players and mobile phones. Tilluminati has teamed with Slacker to print designs and logos on Tshirts, Hoodies, and other products for their worldwide members which include MySpace Music consumers who listen to Slacker radio. So, our featured Artist could be a musician or band, or a designer, photographer, or any number of art forms submitted and chosen as the featured Artist.

Featured Artists are selected by the Tilluminati team and will be awarded for art or music logo that shows creativity, uniqueness, entertainment, etc., along with a general overall design appeal. Unless all information requested below is provided, an Artist’s design may be rejected.

Designers whose art is selected will be contacted via email approximately 1-2 weeks prior to their art being posted. They will receive the following:

• $25 payment for design/logo,
• A free Tshirt with their design/logo on it, and
• An Artist’s Profile posting, including -
  • A Home Page “Artist’s Profile” posting with the Artist’s name and brief bio (see Tilluminati Home Page for example), and
  • A more detailed artist’s profile posted on our website for an indefinite period of time. This may include the Artist’s name, contact info, website, digital photo, links to their website or online designs, etc. This is a powerful tool for artists who desire viral marketing of their art or music, as all consumers who visit our website can also visit your profile and link directly to your site and view your work!
• If your artistic design/design/logo results in 100+ shirts sold with your design or log, then you (the Artist) will receive an additional $100.

How to Submit Your Artwork for Approval

Create a Design

Be creative, different, entertaining, unique, colorful or black/white, etc., as we welcome all genres of art! We want artistic designs or logos that will reflect well on quality T-Shirts, Zip Hoodies, and various products. We recommend using a program such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator to create your artistic design, or take a photo digital of your art. All art is welcome – graphic art, as well as, digital photos of art such as glass, sculpture, paintings, nature, etc. Art must include the following:

Graphic Art (Design or Logo)

Must be a minimum resolution of 200 dpi and to the approximate size that the artistic design or design should be printed on an average Tshirt or Hoodie. A resolution of 300 dpi is preferable, and it is best if the longest dimension of the artwork is at least 2000 pixels.

Digital Photo of Art

We may print photos of art (i.e. glass art, sculptures, nature, painting, etc.) on our Tshirts. Digital photos must be a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Specifications for All Art Submissions (Designs or Logos)

• Image must be in JPG, PNG, TIF, or EPS format (whatever is appropriate for the art medium), fewer than 15MB, and we prefer 300 dpi with the longest dimension being 2000 pixels.
• Art must be your own original design or logo, and may not contain any copyrighted material(s) such as trademarks or logos, etc. of artists/bands/musicians (other than your own design or logo). See Terms and Conditions.
• To display the art on the garment attractively, we’d prefer to avoid a “boxy” look. When it’s possible, please provide the artwork in a layered digital file or remove the background and save it in a graphic format that preserves both transparency and a high resolution.

Submit Your Design

To submit your artistic design, email artists[at]tilluminati(dot)com and supply the following information:

• Subject line should read – “Artist Submission”
• First and Last name of Artist, Band and/or Musician (full name of Artist or Band will be posted unless otherwise requested by Artist)
• Four or five (4-5) sentences that describe why you chose this design and artistic genre, who you are, your inspiration, and/or your background, and general info about your work, band, or love for music (posting of this information is at Tilluminati’s discretion).
• Your website address(s) such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc. if you wish us to post
• Your contact information (for internal purposes only) – phone number, full mailing address, and email.
• Tshirt size(s) – featured Artist will receive one (1) free Tshirt printed with their design or logo selected (one shirt per designer or band member(s), all full names must be provided).
• Submit your design as a high-resolution, digital image (as noted above).
• Terms and Conditions – Artist must review and agree to Tilluminati’s “Terms and Conditions”.
